Custom Faceplate Guide
Our custom faceplates have multiple ways in which they can be customised to suit your needs. Use the following as a guide to ordering a faceplate that fits your house and front garden to perfection.
This is the overall material that the faceplate is made from. Your choices are stainless steel or aluminium that is powder-coated in the Colorbond colour of your choice.
This is the letterbox that the faceplate is attached to. There are three options here with different sizes and applications. This determines the overall dimensions and size of the faceplate. Please see images with dimensions for more detail.

Faceplate/Letterbox Powder Coat Colour
If you choose a powder coated aluminium faceplate, this will be the colour of both the faceplate and the letterbox. If you choose a stainless steel faceplate, this will be the colour of your letterbox, of which you will only see the back on the house-side of your wall or fence.
Backing Plate Colour
The backing plate is a solid, coloured plate that is stuck behind where the faceplate text is cut out. This ensures that your text is readable and pops. Make sure to pick a contrasting colour to your faceplate.
This is the font of the text that is cut out of the faceplate. These are our most popular, tried and tested fonts that look good no matter what.
Rain Hood Direction
The rain hood is the flap that juts out from the mail slot. It can either come down from the top as an external hood or go inwards from the bottom for an internal hood.
The lock on the back of your letterbox can either be a key lock that comes with two keys, or a latch that you can attach your own padlock to.
This is where your street name and/or number goes. It is up to you what you include here and what the capitalisation looks like. You are welcome to have all capitals, all lowercase or title case, etc. You can also opt to only have your street number, only your street name, or both. Including the street abbreviation (i.e St, Ave, Rd) is optional as well.
